Call for papers has been announced for the IRIS/SCIS 2015 conference. This is a joint conference consisting of the two events The 38th Information Systems Research Conference in Scandinavia (IRIS38) and The Sixth Scandinavian Conference on Information Systems (SCIS 2015). The theme of the 2015 conference is “System design for, with and by users”. The conference will be hosted by Oulu University and will be held in Oulu, Finland, August 9-12, 2015.
IRIS is the original part of the conference and is mainly targeted PhD students. Selected papers will be published in the conference proceeding. IRIS is a great opportunity for Ph.d. students, especially during the first year or two, to present their work and receive feedback from both fellow Ph.d. students and senior researchers. SCIS is a more traditional event. Papers are peer reviewed and all accepted papers are published in the conference proceeding.
- IRIS 38: April 2nd, 2015.
- SCIS 6: February 19th, 2015.
More information is available at the conference websites: no longer available.
Personally I participated in IRIS/SCIS 2013 and presented a paper at IRIS. Especially for new PhD student just started on their own research within Information Systems or a related field such as Human-Computer Interaction I can highly recommend this event.
