Attending CHI 2015

I’ll be attending the CHI 2015 conference, the ACM’s HCI flagship conference. This year the conference is held in Seoul, South Korea, April 18 – 23, 2015, at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center. This will be my third attendance CHI, I also attended in 2010 and 2011, and it will be my third time as a student volunteer as I was lucky to receive a student volunteer spot.

The symbol of this year’s conference is a butterfly, and the organises explain the choice:

“The butterfly is a traditional cultural symbol throughout Asia and other parts of the world. As the butterfly flits from place to place, it picks up pollen and fosters new creation by taking the pollen to a new location. Crossing paths in this way creates the potential to do new things, to find new solutions, and to create new directions. Come to CHI 2015 to cross paths with expertise from around the globe.”

This will also be my first visit to South Korea and I’m looking very much forward to both experience Seoul and attend one of the world’s best HCI conferences.
